Selah Massage and Healing Center because….
When life demands more of your body, mind, and spirit, we invite you to rest. To step away from the noise, responsibilities, tension, and constant demands of everyday life and allow yourself a moment to simply be still.
Sheila Shynski, LMT, owner of Selah Massage and Healing Center, believes massage and therapeutic bodywork are much
more than an occasional luxury or reward. They can be an important part of caring for the body, managing stress and
discomfort, maintaining mobility, and supporting overall well being.
Sheila is proud to be opening a Christian owned business where her phiosophy is that we are “feafully and wonderfully made.” Ssalm 139: 14 by God and our bodies are made to heal naturally. The sympthoms we experience are “alerts to disease” and the longer we stay in the disease the more likely it turns into chronic disease and pain.
Instead of ignoring or procrastinating on treating that alert, listening to and then supporting the body in wellness can prevent chronic or worsening conditions.

Every session at Selah begins by listening to what you are experiencing, how your body is feeling, and what you need that day. Rather than following a one size fits all routine, Sheila creates an individualized massage experience using a combination of therapeutic and relaxation techniques that may include Swedish massage, deep tissue and neuromuscular work, stretching, trigger point therapy, cupping, and other bodywork techniques.
Sheila also offers manual lymphatic drainage, prenatal massage, chair massage, and specialized care for older adults and individuals with physical limitations or disabilities. But Selah is about more than techniques. It is about creating a place where you feel seen, cared for, and safe enough to let go. A place where an exhausted body can rest. Where tense muscles can soften. Where a busy mind can become quiet. And where you can leave feeling a little more like yourself again.
Sheila’s goal is not simply to help you feel better for an hour. She wants to help you understand and care for your body so you can move better, function better, experience less pain and stress, and continue doing these things and loving.
